Is it Organic?

Good Morning:
Far West just concluded the first of our two Winter Conferences and I wanted to share some information about one of our general session speakers who may be unknown to you. Mischa Popoff, the author of Is it Organic? was our morning speaker on our final day which is usually a tougher spot to fill and hold a crowd. This young and up comer did a truly extraordinary job unlike I have witnessed in quite some time.
He educated and entertained for nearly 90 minutes and totally commanded the interest of just over 400 in attendance. It was truly a rare occurrence to witness all side conversations cease, additional chairs added, the audience engaged through his encouragement and even though we left the large dividers to the exhibit area open, chairs were being robbed and added hear this remarkable young man speak. I even noticed that the hotel staff stopped, lingered and listened. At the core of it all was his truthful message about the organic industry presented in a fair and balanced method, which was highly educational.
After Mischa concluded his talk at our conference both he and our registration desk received a wave of requests for the book by attendees who wanted to place orders for multiple books. As we arrived in our office this morning the phones were ringing requesting his contact information and inquiring about how to order his book.
In the event that youre wondering, no there is no monetary return to us regarding this referral, just a desire to meet the needs of each of you and the industry. This is simply our Christmas gift to you. If you ever run across a like kind speaker please think of us and forward the contact.
Best to you,
Jim

We got great feedback from farmers who agreed with your assessment.
I will stress with the folks from Washington that your book and your talk are the sensible answers to a longstanding issue between conventional and organic folks. You stimulated thinking about just what is organic, and where all the organic food is really coming from, mostly unregulated for veracity and food safety. Your suggestions for changes will enlighten the crowd.
Best Regards,
John
